tecuiziapan_nahuatl13.JPG - This man told me such an interesting story about how the 32 Nahua villages resisted the building of a dam that would have covered the town. It was obvious that this resistance to authority was one of the greatest moments in his life. He told me that the authorities would "kill us like dogs" and how could they thing of covering the "muertitos" the ancestors buries there under water. To him it was inconceivable.
